A bit past the start of the Call of Duty World League, we signed our very first CoD team. It was a decision that we were looking forward to, and it is with great disappointment that we announce that both we and the team are going our separate ways. CoD was a venture that was exciting to us due to its position in eSports, and the team’s motivated players were enough to convince us to give it a shot. In Stage 1 of the World League, they may have finished 8th place in the regular season, but they took Optic (the top team in the league) to 7 games during the playoffs which is testament to the talent on the team.
Unfortunately, they were unable to consistently maintain that level of play, and it is a great shame that the team finished near the bottom of the rankings in the World League Stage 2. For this reason, we will be parting ways with our Call of Duty roster consisting of Cole ‘ColeChan’ Chancey, Jonathan ‘Pacman’ Tucker, Andrew ‘Ivy’ Ivers, and Jamal ‘Whea7s’ Lee.
In addition to releasing the team, TSM will be withdrawing from Call of Duty for the time being.
We will be gifting the spot that we initially bought out to our former players. We wish them the best and hope that they will find a good home with another top organization and thank them for their time and efforts while competing under the TSM banner.
We have gained valuable knowledge from this experience and an even greater appreciation for the game. We are parting from our current team because of the impact of external conditions such as the contract limitations of potential talent. We will continue to closely monitor the scene, with a special eye on the upcoming CoD World Championship, to be ready when the right opportunity presents itself. We sincerely thank the Call of Duty community for all of the support and hope that you will continue to support Colechan, Pacman, Ivy, and Whea7s.
